About Us

While praying about how to use the late Rev. Ko Jae-sang’s gift of seventy million won, he fell ill. In prayer during his sickness he saw the ministry of missionaries Kim Jeong-ho and Jeong Yeon-suk. The family resolved to send the funds for mission building. Pastor Ko Ju-seok, his son, visited the field with eight letters. The Korea Culture Foundation Center was built, and mission funds were sent with the hope that this place would become a channel for the Gospel across the mainland and all of Tanzania.

While caring for children living as child-headed households and in single-parent families, this alternative school began in 2014 to give even the poorest children a chance to learn. It received official government approval in 2019. We pray it may serve as a place where anyone—rich or poor—can come to learn and meet God. Ten regular and assistant teachers and two cafeteria helpers serve together.

Korea Culture Foundation for Zanzibar (KCFZ) is a non-profit serving Zanzibar, Tanzania through education, arts & sports, community development, and gospel outreach—step by step, loving God and neighbor.
